Speaker
Michele is an inspiring natural storyteller who has spoken to a range of audiences – corporate and community, students and educators – in Australia, the USA and Canada. She is also a skilled and engaging environmental educator.
A writer for over two decades, Michele has unique insights into the power of storytelling, and listening, and how transformative they can be — personally and professionally. She has lived the road less travelled.
Michele speaks at:
- literary events,
- conferences,
- fundraising initiatives,
- educational events,
- environmental educator networks,
- workshops,
- professional development sessions,
- community gatherings,
- libraries,
- and on ABC radio across Australia.
With her first children’s book, Gladys and Stripey: Two little fish on one BIG adventure, NOW AVAILABLE, Michele presents to schools and teachers as well as community and ecological groups.
She draws on the story of an Australian nationally threatened native fish, and the science/ecology/sustainability her book is based on. An educator at heart, Michele inspires kids and communities to learn more about their local waterways. To enjoy them. And to take creative action.
Michele is also a dynamic speaker about memoir writing. Here's a few comments from her recent presentation on memoir writing at Kingston Libraries.
- 'Talk was presented in a beautiful way,'
- 'Michele was great,'
- 'I learnt a lot about writing (general as well as memoir),'
- 'Michele was a very engaging speaker... The tricks and traps were very helpful,'
- 'Fabulous and motivating presentation.'
