A storyteller at heart, Michele Gierck continues to write stories across genres: from adult non-fiction articles, and a series of reflections on palliative care, to developing a new environmental children's tale. 'I just love being creative and curious,' Michele says. And let's not forget how much she enjoys engaging with audiences of all ages.
Over the last 12 months, she has also interviewed top environmental scientists for a series of articles published in Eureka Street Magazine.
Robyn Williams, host of the Science Show on Radio National interviewed Michele, about her first children's book, Gladys and Stripey: Two little fish on one BIG adventure. You can listen here. (Spoiler alert - he thinks the book is delightful, and a wonderful way of introducing kids to science.)

The book also featured in the Wilderness Society's Wilderness Journal #27.
Public libraries can order copies of Gladys and Stripey through James Bennett or ALS Library Supplies.
